AL Agar Listeria 90mm x 20

Overview
Use AL (Agar Listeria according to Ottaviani and Agosti) Agar Plates for the detection and enumeration of Listeria spp., including L. monocytogenes and L. ivanovii, in food products and environmental samples. The chromogenic identification and differentiation of Listeria spp. is based on both PI-PLC (phosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase C) and of ß-D-glucosidase (ß-gal) activities.

PI-PLC is only present in pathogenic Listeria species (L. monocytogenes, L. ivanovii, and derivatives) and produces an opaque halo around colonies
