Description

Bacterial Enhancement Reagent is a ready-to-use solution used to pre-treat bacterial cells prior to isolation of high-quality RNA with TRIsure. Bacterial Enhancement Reagent is designed to improve the isolation and yield of intact total RNA from Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The combination of the Bacterial Enhancement Reagent and TRIsure improves quality, yield and integrity of RNA by lysing the cells, inactivating endogenous RNases and promoting protein degradation.
Bacterial cells are incubated at high temperature with the Bacterial Enhancement Reagent to disrupt the cell components and the TRIsure reagent is then added to separate the RNA into the aqueous phase, which is subsequently recovered by precipitation with isopropyl alcohol.
The isolated RNA is suitable for any downstream application such as RT-PCR, hybridization assays, or in vitro translation.
TRIsure is available individually as as a TRIsure Bacterial RNA Isolation Kit.

Storage Conditions

Bacterial Enhancement Reagent can be stored for 12 months at room temperature.
